Stephanie Price — ITEC & BTEC qualified massage therapist, Reiki III, sound healing practitioner.

About Stephanie

It started with burning out, twenty-two years ago.

A stressful job in the music industry left her unwell, disconnected and out of balance. That was the beginning of the healing journey — an initiation into Reiki in Sydney with Frans and Bronwen Steine, which led to massage, to yoga, and to a completely different way of living.

Back in the UK she trained in Holistic Massage and Anatomy & Physiology in 2004, then took a BTEC professional diploma in Sport and Remedial Massage Therapy with the London School of Sports Massage in 2005. Two decades of workshops, courses and clients have been layered on top of that ever since.

“I believe massage and energy work, combined with a healthy diet, regular exercise and a positive mind, can help restore the body’s natural balance.”

She specialises in pregnancy massage and particularly enjoys working with clients through that time. She practises yoga, meditation, breathwork and chanting, is a qualified yoga teacher, and in 2020 completed Level 1 and 2 Sound Healing Practitioner training with Tibetan singing bowls.

In their words

What clients say afterwards.

Stephanie is a highly skilled, creative and intuitive therapist. A massage from Steph is an immersive artistic experience, very unique and most importantly effective. Steph used sound therapy to relax and soothe my body, then lovingly and knowingly got to work on my body and melted my aches and pains away. Such a gorgeous experience. I highly recommend.
Jess Massage therapist
My SPD discomfort had started to affect my daily tasks, so I’ve had Steph help to relieve the symptoms. I could have cried. I feel human and grounded again. Highly recommend.

Sound healing

Singing bowls made by the same family for 600 years.

Stephanie guides you into a relaxed, meditative state with a shamanic drum, then works with Tibetan singing bowls, tingshas, koshi wind chimes and rainstick. The vibrations take you to your own place of healing and integration — for mental clarity, deep relaxation, or to deepen where you already are on your path.

One-to-one healings cleanse the energetic field and bring the chakra system back into balance. If you are feeling stuck or blocked, these frequencies can shift things gently and profoundly.

Before you book

Questions people usually ask.

How do I book an appointment?
Call or text Stephanie on 07952 901607, or send an enquiry using the form below. Texting is often quickest — if she is mid-treatment she will come back to you as soon as she is free.
Where do treatments take place?
There is a home treatment space in Watton-at-Stone, and Stephanie also works out of The Secret Space on Fore Street in Hertford. Home visits are available on request for £85. You will get the full address when your appointment is confirmed.
How much does it cost?
A one-hour massage is £70. New clients take £10 off their first treatment, so your first hour is £60. Home visits are £85 including travel. Group sound healing evenings are £17.
Is pregnancy massage safe?
Stephanie holds a specialist pregnancy massage qualification from Jing Advanced Massage and Training in Brighton, and has worked with hundreds of pregnant clients over the years. The treatment is adapted to your stage of pregnancy, and is commonly used to ease pain in the hips, lower back and shoulders, as well as oedema and restless legs in later pregnancy. If you have any pregnancy complications, mention them when you book.
Will a deep tissue massage hurt?
Stephanie works slowly and deeply rather than forcefully, focusing on releasing the fascia — the connective tissue — as well as the muscle itself. Pressure is checked with you and adjusted to what your body will accept on the day. Most clients describe the feeling afterwards as lighter and more grounded rather than sore.
What actually happens in a sound healing?
You lie down fully clothed and get comfortable. Stephanie guides you into a relaxed, meditative state with the shamanic drum, then works with Tibetan singing bowls, tingshas, koshi wind chimes and rainstick. There is nothing to do and nothing to get right — you simply receive the vibrations. No experience is required.
Do I need to bring anything?
No. Wear something comfortable. For sound healing you stay fully clothed and blankets are provided. For massage, undress to the level you are comfortable with — you will be covered with towels throughout.
Can massage be combined with sound?
Yes. Stephanie will sometimes bring sound frequencies into a massage treatment, depending on what she intuitively feels you need in the moment. If you would like that as part of your session, just say so when you book.
